Description

Tuscany, San Gimignano. This nice country cottage lies on a little estate in the heart of the Tuscan countryside only a very short distance from the midieval town of San Gimignano. It is approached by a private driveway leading from the ‘Via Vecchia’ the old Roman road to the town. This quiet country lane enjoys a spectacular panorama and makes for a most enjoyable walk into the town with its selection of shops and restaurants.

The cottage has been carefully restored and is furnished in a typical rustic Tuscan style. Original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors have been retained and the comfortable furnishings and whitewashed walls create a warm atmosphere. 

The living room has two unusual arched windows, a sitting area for relaxing, dining table and chairs and a kitchen corner with hob ( 4 rings), small oven, fridge. Bedroom with double bed and bedroom with single bed, shower room with basin, shower and toilet. Washingmachine. The living room opens onto the private terrace which is furnished with table, chairs and sun umbrella, a perfect spot for dining al fresco.

A pathway and rustic steps leads from the cottage down to the swimmingpool (12m x 6m) which is in a very private position below the house and enjoys fine views of the countryside and surrounding woodland. The pool is furnished with sunbeds and is reserved for the useof guests renting the cottage and for the use of the owner. 

Parking is in the grounds next to the cottage. Only 11km away is the town of Poggibonsi with rail and road links to Florence and Siena.
